Freya Watson
Chiropractor
Freya is a dedicated Chiropractor who graduated with a first-class Master of Chiropractic from the University of South Wales in July 2026. Alongside her degree, she also holds certificates in Level 3 Sports Massage, Dry Needling, and Taping, allowing her to bring a well-rounded and versatile approach to patient care at Proactive Chiropractic.
Once a competitive swimmer for 10 years, Freya reached the British Championships on three occasions, competing as a finalist. It was during her swimming career that she experienced her own sports injuries and first discovered chiropractic care. The friendly, effective treatment she received opened her eyes to a type of healthcare she had never considered. Combined with her lifelong fascination with the human body, its physical limits, and its complex systems, she knew she had found her calling.
Freya’s deep understanding of movement stems not only from her athletic background but also from her time as a swim teacher and coach. Working with individuals of all ages and abilities, she learned how to adapt to different bodies and optimise functional movement in the water. Over the past year, she has also gained hands-on experience working alongside Kathryn with the Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey team as a student chiropractor, developing an eye for elite athletic injury management.
When she is outside the clinic, Freya loves exploring the great outdoors, whether she is hiking through the Brecon Beacons or braving the waters for a wild swim. She is also a passionate foodie, always on the hunt for unique local spots to try. Recently, she has been trying to get back into swimming, setting her sights on tackling triathlons, though she admits her running is awful, so she is hoping her impressive swim times will carry her through.
