2025: A Year in Review
As we come to the end of 2025, we at Proactive Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic have taken time to look back at some of the things we have achieved and reflect on the hard work put in from the team this year. Below are some of the highlights of this year:
4th May 2025 - Proactive Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic Turns 2:
Proactive celebrated its birthday in May of this year. What started with our Principal Chiropractor, Kathryn, in a single room in a CrossFit gym has now become two thriving clinics with the addition of the Vindico Arena location. Reaching our second birthday is a terrific achievement and we could not happier to see what Proactive has become over this time.
22nd June 2025 - Proactive treats athletes at Cardiff Bay Triathlon:
Kathryn, Thomas and Daniel were all found treating at the Cardiff Bay Triathlon. Proactive provided free massage sessions for all athletes who took part, whether that be the Sprint race or the Legend distance. This was not the last time members of Proactive would be involved in Triathlon races…
13th July 2025 - Thomas takes on Ironman 70.3 Swansea:
On a tremendously warm Sunday, our very own sports massage therapist, Thomas, completed the Ironman 70.3 in Swansea. In typical Thomas fashion, his first words after crossing the finish line were, “I could have been quicker”. Watching that effort unfold was a proud moment for the entire team and he thoroughly enjoyed his massage sessions to help recover for several weeks afterwards.
1st August 2025 - Welcome, Colm!:
We welcomed a new therapist to the clinic family in early August as Sports Therapist Colm joined the team. Since joining, he has excelled with his knowledge and passion for injury prevention and rehabilitation. He has brought invaluable expertise to this role and continues to help patients recover faster and perform at their best.
5th October 2025 - Cardiff Half Marathon:
More races for our therapists as Thomas and Kathryn took to the start line of the Cardiff Half Marathon and finished strong with good times. Behind the scenes, Daniel was busy treating those runners taking part on behalf of Shelter Cymru. The Cardiff Half is always a special event, and being involved both behind the scenes and on the course made it even more meaningful for us.
4th November 2025 - One Year at the Vindico Arena:
The opening of our clinic at the Vindico Arena was a significant step forward in expanding the range and quality of care we can offer. The Arena clinic has allowed us to introduce a wider variety of treatment options, including electrical stimulation (e-stim) and Shockwave Therapy. Over the last year, the Arena clinic has gone from strength to strength and this anniversary was a chance to appreciate the environment that supports both our team and our clients day in, day out.
15th November 2025 - BCA Clinic of the Year:
We ended the year on an incurable high as Proactive Chiropractic and Sports Injury Clinic was named BCA Clinic of the Year 2025. This award means so much to us — not just as an accolade, but as validation of the professionalism and passion that underpins everything we do. To be such a young clinic, we believe it shows the effort and dedication all of us at Proactive have put into making this the best clinic it can be.
